300MM 12Inch Cutter Suction Dredger Suppliers is a hydraulic dredger that uses centrifugal pumps with a rotating cutter head to loosen, lift and transport dredged material. It is positioned on spuds and anchor winches to ensure the vessel is firmly anchored during dredging. The cutter ladder is lowered. By pulling on the side wires, the cutter head is moved sideways, swinging around the main spud. The cutter suction dredger moves forward by means of the spud carriage.

4.TYPES OF DREDGING MATERIAL

6. How the cutter suction dredger work?
When the dredger is in the designated area, it positions itself by lowering the main spud pole at the bow of the cutter suction dredger. And places anchors at port and starboard. The anchor booms are connected to the large arm at the front, called the ladder. This method also makes it possible to dredger in very shallow locations by placing the anchors on land.
With the anchors in position, the ladder lowers to the seabed. At the end of the ladder a larger cutter head is installed, which will cut into the seabed and loosen the material. By pulling on one anchor wire and giving slack on the other, the cutterhead can be pulled across the width of the dredge cut.
At the end of this swinging movement, the dredger is pushed forward by a hydraulic cylinder connected to the main spud pole, after which it can swing in the opposite direction. This process repeats itself until the end of the 9 meter spud-carrier is reached.
The vessel will then position itself back on the center line of the dredge-cut and the auxiliary spud is lowered. The main spud is lifted, pulled back to the starting position, and dropped on the seabed again. The auxiliary spud can now be lifted, and the cutter suction dredger is pushed forward so that dredging can resume.
Powerful pumps inside the cutter suction dredger transport the dredged material, mixed with water, through the floating pipeline at the bow of the vessel to a designated area, which can be several kilometers from the dredging location.
